We are looking for a senior software engineer who could join us soon to handle long term IT consulting and product development projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the project/product managers to communicate with the stakeholders across the borders to understand business requirements, then propose the feasible technical solutions accordingly.
- Take a leadership role in the process of planning, designing and developing technical solutions. Deliver high quality business requirement documents and software design documents to clients. Ensure the implementation of agreed architecture and infrastructure, and successful integration tests.
- Conduct regular design/development review sessions with engineering teams to identify the areas of improvements, suggest concrete actions to improve the speed and quality of the development process
- Regularly conduct code review/ knowledge sharing sessions. Support HR to interview/onboard/train the new engineers
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- At least 5 years of experience in software development as a software engineer
- In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle, software requirement documentation, architecture design approaches
- Capable of analyzing the functional/non-functional requirements before coming up with a relevant system architecture diagrams, cross-system API interfaces (mainly REST), integration/system test scenarios
- Great communication skills in English
- Flexible mindset and ability to learn fast
- Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3
- Experience with NodeJS backend like ExpressJS
- Experience with Public Cloud Services like AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience with writing the technical documents in a well-structured way for engineers to follow
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Secure coding experience
- Mobile development experience
- Experience of using popular Python frameworks
- Communication skills in Japanese (business level or above)
