Hiring process
Technical position
We will review your resume to to determine if you possess the qualifications to fill the position
A coding test will be given to help us assess a few truly qualified applicants
We will give feedback no matter what is the outcome of your test

Flexibility
- Flexible scheduling and work environment
- Tokyo Techies offers flex-time scheduling with a core time from 10AM to 3PM. Remote work is acceptable though attendance at the office or client facility may be required in some cases.
- Casual Dress Code
- We encourage our employees to dress comfortably at work. Business attire is required only if necessary (i.e. formal client meetings).
Subsidies
- Certificate Acquisition and Course Completion Support
- Tokyo Techies encourages employees to enroll in relevant courses and apply for certifications to develop their personal skills. Course fees will be provided by the company and a bonus will be given for acquiring a certificate in Cloud, Security, or Japanese/English language (i.e. JLPT/TOEIC).
- Transportation Allowance
- All regular employees will be given a transportation allowance going to and from work, and other work-related transportation expenses.

Bonuses
Performance Bonus
- Performance bonuses based on overall performance will be awarded usually twice each year. On top of scheduled bonus, all employees are qualified to receive a spot bonus for an exceptional performance.
Employee and Client Referral Bonus
- Refer your friends to work at Tokyo Techies for an employee referral bonus.
- Sum of 200,000 JPY shall be awarded for successfully introducing a regular full-time employee.
- Sum of 40,000 JPY shall be awarded for successfully introducing a part-time employee.
- Client referral bonuses are also offered. Compensation amount varies on the cost of the project.

Relaxation
Holidays and Paid Annual Leave
- Paid annual leave is awarded to full-time employees which can be used for vacation, sick-leave and other personal matters. A 10-day paid leave is offered during the first year, with the duration increasing every passing year to a maximum of 20 days annually.
Team Gathering and Retreat
- Tokyo Techies is building a relaxed, yet professional environment for all its employees. We have a regularly monthly techies gathering where you can bring your friends and family to share delicious food and drinks. Occasionally, we also plan out of town retreats.

I’m a software and AI consultant at Tokyo Techies. My responsibilities include, but not limited to, executing software solutions, evaluating technical designs and issues, managing software projects, instructing students who join training courses at Tokyo Techies.

The amazing thing about Tokyo Techies is that we are free to decide to do what benefit the company and ourselves. As in my case, I received all possible supports from Tokyo Techies to develop my technical skill, management skill, and Japanese skill via either online training or training on job.

1. What made you decide to join Tokyo Techies?
I decided to join TokyoTechies for two simple reasons. The first reason (also the most important reason) is that the CEO of Tokyo Techies is really a visionary with a big passion for his work and a bigger care for his employees. The second reason is that we have the most talented people who not only work hard but also play hard too. We take care of each other and bond really well in both work and life.
2. What are your responsibilities at Tokyo Techies?
I’m currently an intern in Tokyo Techies. Even as an intern, I can challenge myself with many activities such as project management, development, product designer, etc. You need a chance to prove yourself and Tokyo Techies is always ready to give you a chance.
3. How do you access your personal growth since joining the company?
I personally realized that I have changed a lot since joining the team. Since you would get the chance to interact with real project’s operation, your mindset needs to have the flexibility to adapt to situations such as client’s sudden changes in project’s planning, deadline not being met, etc. As a result, you would learn how to apply risk management into the big project planning picture.
4. How do you find the working environment at Tokyo Techies?
Amazing. Everyone just gets along. We help each other out in work and also sometimes in life too. People will help you in some ways as long as you are open to talk about your problems. And if you get lost somewhere in
the path, the CEO will help you know what you need to do.
