“Looking back at myself before joining and now, I can see a clear difference in understanding management principles and navigating projects with more than 2 entities involved”
1. What made you decide to join Tokyo Techies?
Knowing Yoshi from my previous company, I trusted his judgement. His recommendation gave me a lot of confidence in the company and work environment, but also on the fact that I would be a good fit. Another important factor is meeting Duc and discussing with him the company’s vision and how I could fit and grow in. And finally the company’s AI activity interested me a lot, as I was (and still am) wanting to progress in that field.
2. What are your responsibilities at Tokyo Techies?
Data Scientist and Software consultant. Currently working in a technical architect role and AI engineer/Data Scientist for Tokyo Techies projects..
3. How do you assess your personal growth since joining the company?
Looking back at myself before joining and now, I can see a clear difference in understanding management principles and navigating projects with more than 2 entities involved. I attribute that to learning a lot from Duc by working together on Tokyo Techies projects. A concrete manifestation of it is a number of question I would find myself asking at the beginning of a new project, that I would not have thought about before. On the more technical side, Tokyo Techies really encourages learning and being able to incorporate this into my work schedule is very valuable for me. For example I am currently learning about AWS architecture as part of the course completion program. And of course, more research oriented project pushes me to explore new subject, such as sound signal treatment for example.
4. How do you find the working environment at Tokyo Techies?
Love it. Quite flexible, and the people are both talented and easy to work with. And they’re quite fun to be around, as if it wasn’t enough. Great alchemy I think.
